Macromedia Inc.
The 2D graphics in MuPAD is vector graphics. Graphics on the web is usually in bitmap format - GIF, JPG or PNG format. While converting MuPAD 2D graphics to bitmaps we often lose the quality and in many cases files are getting very large. However, instead of converting vector graphics to bitmaps we can publish them in Flash format. This way we get excellent clear pictures with sharp lines and clean colors. Such picture has a few additional features - can be magnified (right click) and can be animated. Finally it is worth to mention that in 90% Flash files are much smaller than bitmap files. Therefore most of MuPAD plots on this web site will be published in Flash format.
It is necessary to mention that in order to see Flash pictures embedded into a web page we need Flash player that can be downloaded from Macromedia Inc. web site at http://www.macromedia.com.
