MathPAD online will be discontinued in the nearest future
Since end of September MuPAD is a part of Matlab Symbolic Math Toolbox. Therefore all MuPAD resources available on mathPAD Online will be removed from the web. There is a chance that a replacement of mathPAD Online will be created but in order to do this I need a space on a public web server and time to update all existing online materials. If ou have any suggestions please contact me using e-mail address: mirek.majewski@yahoo.com
Changing the way we teach and students learn
This paper captures the three phases of evolution of cs with technology over the last fifteen years: from lectures, to lab, and laptops. I discuss some experiences, both good and bad, that have made me a convinced advocate for the prudent integration of technology into the academic process. >read more >

RECSAM Hands-on Workshop on Technology for Secondary/College Mathematics
SEAMEO RECSAM stands for the Regional Center for Education in Science and Mathematics of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization. The center was established in 1995 and since this time it is a major place for training mathematics and science teachers, as well as doing research in mathematics education, in the South East Asia. SEAMEO RECSAM is located on a beautiful island Penang in Malaysia.
RECSAM Hands-on Workshop on Technology for Secondary/College Mathematics is the first workshop on using information technology organized at RECSAM. The workshop will cover fundamental skills necessary for using Computer Algebra System MuPAD in mathematics classroom. >read more >

Pour l'amour des math...
In this paper, I will explore some recreational aspects of mathematics. Many books have been written to show that our love for mathematics is rooted deeply in an almost global interest in, fascination with, and love for recreational mathematics. I therefore suggest that we take advantage of this wide appeal and incorporate a recreational approach into the teaching and learning of mathematics. I will show by some examples how this might be done. > read more >

Teaching Multiple Integrals with MuPAD
Computer algebra system MuPAD can be extremely useful in teaching mathematics. It gives us an opportunity not only to develop one's skills but encourages students to become more creative. In this paper we show some applications of MuPAD in teaching multivariable calculus. We will concentrate on visualizing regions of integration of multiple integrals and show how one can compute a multiple integral using MuPAD. > read more >

Visualizing Waterman Polyhedra with MuPAD
Waterman polyhedra exist in mathematics since about 1990. The concept of Waterman polyhedra was developed by Steve Waterman and his original algorithm was programmed on a computer by a number of enthusiasts of mathematical visualization. [...] The objective of this paper is to show how Waterman polyhedra can be obtained using MuPAD programming language, and to introduce a library of MuPAD procedures that the author developed to visualize Waterman polyhedra. > read more >

JavaView Workshop for MuPAD users
JavaView is becoming the main tool for displaying mathematical visualizations on the web. This document is a tutorial for MuPAD users showing how MuPAD graphics can be transformed into an live and interactive virtual model that can be embeded into a web page. Such virtual models can be used for developing online courses in mathematics, science and other quantitative subjects. >read more in PDF file>.
Conference mathPAD 2006, Toruń, in Poland
Conference mathPAD 2006 is the 5 th of the mathPAD conferences that were organized in recent years: Piotrków Trybunalski – July 2002, Zakopane – June 2003, Toruń – June 2004, Toruń – July 2005. All mathPAD conferences have two major objectives: (1) to promote teaching mathematics with computer technology, (2) to promote European software for teaching mathematics – MuPAD, Cabri, JavaView, and Cinderella. > Read more about mathPAD 2006>
MuPAD 4.0, what we will gain this time?
The new MuPAD will surprise the users in many ways, and make our work more enjoyable then ever. In this short article we will show some new features in MuPAD 4.0 and try to explain the consequences of these features. > Read more about MuPAD 4.0 >
New Design of mathPAD Online
After a few years of using frames as a main structure of mathPAD Online we are moving to a new design based on cascading styles and new color scheme. The old pages of mathPAD Online will be transformed to the new design, meanwhile we can access them at http://www.mathpad.org/index_old.html
