Summary of coordinate systems in MuPAD and JavaView

The objective of this page is to summarize types of axes systems in MuPAD and JavaView and show possible ways of matching both environments. At the moment (14/10/2005) xvc2jvx translates:

  • MuPAD boxed axes to JavaView bounding box axes
  • MuPAD frame axes to JavaView cornered axes (in my opinion it should be boxed axes without bounding box)
  • MuPAD origin axes to JavaView centered axes
  • MuPAD partial axes to JavaView partial axes (again, the frame axes could be converted to boxed axes without bounding box)

Below I show possible ways of matching axes types in both systems.

MuPAD

JavaView

Boxed axes Bounding box axes + bounding box
Frame axes Bounding box axes and no bounding box
This type of axes is not available in MuPAD
Cornered axes and no bounding box
Origin axes Centered axes

In MuPAD use origin axes
 and remove one axis

Centered XY
This type of axes is not available in MuPAD
  Cornered XY
